Thank you for your interest in the M.Eng. Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Western University! My name is Vijay Parsa, and I am the Assistant Chair for the M.Eng. program and currently overseeing the admissions process for 2018.
Due to the large number of qualified applicants for 2018 intake, we have decided to add a video interview as part of the application evaluation to help us identify and recruit the best students. This letter serves as an invitation to participate in this video interview process. We are quite excited to be able to get to know you through the medium of video interviewing. We believe that the video interviews will give us a chance to virtually meet you, get a sense of your personality, potential, and technical knowledge, and how you think on your feet. Please note that preference will be given to candidates who complete the video interviews satisfactorily.
The process is simple - you will be asked three questions, one non-technical and two technical. You will be given prep time and a set amount of time to respond. It should only take 30 minutes to complete the whole interview experience, and it can be done on your own time. You will require an internet-connected computer with a functioning webcam and microphone. The system allows for unlimited practice sessions, but once you start the formal interview questions you only get one chance. This allows us to see your candid responses.
